LAUSD El Camino Real Charter High School
Along the edges of the central courtyard of El Camino Real Charter High School, the understated plazas, peaceful gardens, and overlapping colonnades evoke the contemplative landscape of a small college campus. A 37,000-square-foot physical education building is a threshold between the Western Commons and a series of athletic fields. A modernization project for this building includes a new motorized grandstand system with accommodations for a diverse group of spectators. In support of improvements to the gym, the project also considers improvements along the accessible path that lead visitors throughout the campus to the physical education building. AE3 provided services to the Los Angeles Unified School District including site accessibility survey, cost estimating, fire alarm consulting, DSA-approved construction documents, and construction administration.
