Barbara Lee Center for Social Justice & Civic Engagement

Barbara Lee Center for Social Justice & Civic Engagement

The Barbara Lee Science and Allied Health Center transforms a prominent 2,300 SF ground-floor corner of Merritt College’s Barbara Lee Building into a highly flexible, state-of-the-art venue for events, education, and community engagement. The main space converts easily from a 50-person classroom to a 100-person auditorium, offering sweeping views of the San Francisco Bay Area, while adjacent conference rooms with NanaWall glass systems function as independent breakout areas. All spaces are equipped with advanced AV technology to support broadcast-quality presentations and media events. Additional offices provide workspace for Congresswoman Lee and her team and house her collections and archives. Museum-quality display cases, a 50-foot mural, and a dynamic video wall celebrate her legacy and the contributions of the surrounding community, and dedicated support space accommodates catering for larger events.
