St. Anthony’s Foundation, 121 & 150 Golden Gate Avenue
AE3 proudly provided construction management services for two transformative buildings on St. Anthony’s Foundation’s Tenderloin Campus, a cornerstone of community support in San Francisco for over 60 years. St. Anthony’s Foundation has been a lifeline for low-income individuals, offering free meals, training, medical care, and social services in the Civic Center-Tenderloin neighborhood.
The first project, located at 150 Golden Gate Avenue, replaced an aging structure with a new 47,000 SF, 5-story, steel-frame building designed to serve the community’s most pressing needs. The facility includes modern food service and dining areas, a free medical and dental clinic, social services offices, classrooms, computer labs, and administrative spaces. Demonstrating a commitment to sustainability, this project achieved LEED Gold certification.
The second project, a 50,000 SF, 10-story concrete high-rise at 121 Golden Gate Avenue, further expanded the campus's impact. The building's lower floors include spaces for food preparation and storage, a commercial kitchen, and a dining hall supporting St. Anthony’s meal services. The upper floors house administrative offices and 90 affordable senior housing units managed by Mercy Housing. This LEED Silver-certified building also replaced an outdated structure to better serve the community.
