The Palisades

For The Palisades project, AE3 served as Associate Architect, contributing 40% to the design effort and providing a dedicated team that included a Principal-in-Charge, Project Architect, and Job Captain. This urban infill development, located on the site of the former Hunters Point Naval Base, features 88 mixed-income units, comprising affordable and market-rate one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments.

AE3 was deeply involved in every phase of the project, from conceptual design to working drawings, ultimately securing design and redevelopment board approvals. Our team played a critical role in interpreting the Design for Development guidelines, developing initial concepts, and streamlining the unit plans to reduce complexity. We also provided strategic input on value engineering and constructability, ensuring the design was both cost-effective and feasible. Additionally, AE3 led presentations at key entitlement and community outreach meetings, advocating for the project and its vision.
