The Palisades

For The Palisades project, AE3 served as an Associate Architect, with a 40% role on the project and provided a principal-in-charge, project architect and job captain to the design team. The urban infill project includes 88 mixed, affordable and market-rate 1, 2, and 3-bedroom units and is located on the site of the former Hunters Point Naval Base.

The design team presented initial concepts for client consideration and completed the working drawings for design/redevelopment board approval. AE3 was involved in all aspect of the project, from conceptual design and production through project delivery. Our most significant contribution was to decipher the Design for Development, provide initial concepts, work to simplify the number of required unit plans, and provide guidance on value engineering strategies and constructability. AE3 was also a lead presenter at several key entitlement/project outreach meetings.
